Known Knowns

I’m fulfilling Amy’s challenge to write about something with complete honesty.

We have booked our flight to Hawaii and Bon Aire. I should be really flippin’ excited but actually, I’m nervous. I’m supposed to be in school those weeks! It means I’m going to miss a lot of class. Well, not a lot, but each day counts during the summer semester when you only have about 10 weeks of class (if that!) So, I’m kind of nervous. I’ll get over it, and start being excited soon, I’m sure. Please, allow me to rationalize.

::::begin rationalizing::::We have been planning and saving for these trips since before I even applied to nursing school (last July.) I’m a ridiculous nerd of a student and have been known to spend ridiculous amounts of time making the world’s most intricate study guide for each test in each class. On top of that, I’m going to be in school for the next 19 months without a summer break. There will holiday breaks and whatnot, but no three month semester breaks. A girl’s gotta take some time for herself and her marriage, right? Right. End of story. ::::done rationalizing::::
