Known Knowns

I’m home from my fantastic trip to visit my brand new niecey (in case you you haven’t read any of my past three posts about her!) I am, like, The World’s Proudest Aunt right now. Seriously. Being an aunt is awesome even though she doesn’t even know who I am yet.

So it’s back to the grind but now I feel like I’m really over the hump. I finished writing my marketing piece on Friday and that was about the only thing weighing on me. Now I’m at the end of this long, painful cross country race in the mud, and I can see the finish line and my family and friends are yelling to cheer me on, and I’ve sort of mentally given up (which is the only sad part) but it’s going to allow me to finish with a little dignity. And, in typical cross country fashion, I will cross the finish line and proceed to urinate on myself in utter exhaustion. And I might even throw up, too.  No, seriously, a friend said that this little trip to visit my family was probably exactly what I needed to give me the energy and wherewithall to finish the last few weeks of work.  I can do it!
